Black Pepper

Black pepper is a flowering vine in the family Piperaceae, cultivated for its fruit, known as a peppercorn, which is usually dried and used to flavour dishes. The fruit is less pungent than the fresh pepper because of the drying process. Dried ground black pepper has a distinct flavour profile different from either white or green peppercorns.
